The management and staff of South Gap Hotel are extremely excited to announce the completion of a $6 million renovation of its room accommodations and public spaces. The project was concluded in two phases  over a period of two years.  

Phase 1 was completed in 2017 and focused on the refurbishment and redesign of the guest rooms in a contemporary and modern style. The new upscale rooms incorporate cool greys and whites accompanied by  warm browns. The rooms are further accented with soft furnishings inspired by the varying shades of blues and  greens seen in the spectacular ocean views that are visible from each room. Features include new furnishings, bathrooms and kitchenettes (equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffeemaker). Guests  will also enjoy modern amenities such as wireless high speed internet access, flat screen LED televisions and USB  charging ports.  

Highlights of Phase 2 of the renovations project which was completed in November 2018 include:  

  • Full exterior and public area refurbishment; including a stylish reception and a new hospitality suite with shower, lounge and laptop bar.  
  • A total redesign of Tropical Mist Bar & Restaurant which is located on the ground floor of the hotel and  offers an ocean view from every table. This trendsetting restaurant is popular with tourists and locals  alike with its new revamped menu including healthy options and tropical dishes. The Bajan Breakfast  and the Oat Waffles are breakfast favourites and the Drunken Jerk Shrimp and Caribbean Chicken  Skewers have quickly become extremely popular.  
  • An ocean facing pool deck which boasts unparallelled style for any hotel of its size on the island. The pool features a tanning ledge with loungers and is accented with a mosaic water feature and tiki torches.  
  • Ocean inspired artwork in the public areas by local artist Jeena Chatrani.
